Jay, walking it off at 65, a total of 15 inches and 45 pounds healthier

Since his teenage years, Jay struggled with weight and was often teased, which hit him hard in the confidence department. Through college and beyond, the weight remained difficult. Jay tried prescription diet pills, other diets, and just watching what he ate. If he did lose weight, he couldn't keep it off. It was discouraging.

Last summer Jay got a call from his friend, a fellow Shaklee Distributor. Did he know of anyone in his group who would like to be in a test group for a brand-new program for losing weight? "Yes, yes-me!" was Jay's response.

"I told my wife Linda I was committed to making it happen," says Jay. "We've used Shaklee products for 25 years and have such a strong belief in them I felt this program could work. So I started the Cinch plan and followed it just like it was laid out. And I started walking," Jay says proudly. "I followed the plan all summer and into the fall."

Jay walked every day, starting with 15-minute walks and working up to 90-minute walks. "I'm 65, so that took some doing," he says. "We live in a small village in Vermont, where you see a lot of the same people.

As the summer wore on and the pounds and inches started to fall off, I got some interesting responses," Jay recalls.

"One person said he THOUGHT he had seen me walking through town, but wasn't sure . . . another called and said she had seen Linda with a big yellow dog but didn't recognize 'the guy' she was with. Imagine!”

Simple things did the trick for Jay: Sticking with the plan and walking. Nothing fancy-just determination

"I still find myself looking in the mirror," says Jay. "I have not weighed what I weigh now for so long, it is truly amazing! I feel so blessed to have Shaklee in my life."
