Green goes with Everything

By Sloan Barnett

Imagine if your best friend gave you vital information that could protect you and your family, and save you money, and help the planet. Imagine if you were given clear, simple choices, small changes that could have a big impact on your life.

And you could still wear leather shoes and deodorant. You'd listen, right? Well, think of Today show contributor Sloan Barnett as that friend. A mother of three, a dedicated consumer advocate, Sloan gives us a fast, simple, down-to-earth primer on the ways our homes are making us sick, and what we can all do to transform them into the safe sanctuaries we want and need them to be. Sloan exposes the toxic truth behind the household products we use every day -- from laundry detergent to toothpaste to lipstick. She explains how these and other seemingly benign stuff can harm us and our children. She offers an array of alternatives, and inspires us to see that we're never helpless: Every day, we have the power to make better, smarter, safer choices.

Packed with common sense and sass, product picks and practical tips, Green Goes With Everything is for everyone who wants to live a healthier life.

Cinch Success Story of the Month

A year later, I am a wonderful 80 pounds lighter. " Bev says.80 pounds and 46 ½ inches healthier
I decided to lose weight with the Cinch® Inch Loss Plan because I wanted a happier, healthier life. When I weighed 205 pounds, I was worried that my weight might cause knee or hip problems over time. I also felt bad about myself as a person. When I was heavy, I didn't want to go out of the house and I felt like I would never get the weight off. Being overweight took some of the joy out of my day.

My challenge was to find the strength to pull myself up, dust myself off, and start on the path to a new lifestyle. I made the decision to focus on my health and happiness, and to bring myself back to a size that felt right. My goal seemed daunting—I wanted to be the size I was in high school. To get in the right mind-set to tackle this goal, I pulled out my favorite old music and old pictures.

They reminded me of who I had been not so many years ago, and who I wanted to be at the end of the process. I also did daily affirmations, telling myself I WAS the smaller person I wanted to be. It helped me SEE myself as that person, even when I was not there yet. It worked! I was on my way. I took the Cinch program seriously, and even brought shake packets with me on vacation. I added activity to my daily life by taking stairs instead of elevators and by going to the gym. I was delighted to find myself growing stronger every week. I found that small, attainable changes made a huge difference in my results.

A year later, I am a wonderful 80 pounds lighter. I am in my 50s, but I feel like I'm 18 again. I have energy to burn, and people have told me that I look 20 years younger than when I was heavier. I truly can't believe it. I have a new zest for life and for building my Shaklee business. This has really opened up a new life for me. Thanks, Shaklee! Thanks, Cinch!

Thank you North Bergen

Last month we had our monthly presentation at Saint Rocco in North Bergen and we are thankful for your support. We couldn’t do it without you. We were able to introduce our latest product Blueberry Almond Crisp meal-in-a-bar from Cinch® at the same time, we were discussing topics on health & wellness with each and every person who approached to our booth. We were able to answer their questions about our products and our company as well as nutrition concerns. Other exhibitors from different companies and businesses also joined our Shaklee family and experienced at first hand the benefits to become a Shaklee member and to be in our group because I always preached that you do not help the customer by selling them nutrients, you help the customer when you explain why these nutrients are important in their organism and the savings they get automatically by joining us.

We were also able to offer FREE subscription to our weekly blog and monthly e-zine, by them doing this, they will get additional information on healthy living. This April’s presentation, we will be giving information on our annual event: Earth Day celebration, hope you can join us there too

How to Make a Difference in the Health of your Home

An Article by Francisco Isla, Franfort Distributors Group CEO
I was just reading an article from Healthy Child Healthy World about the easy things you can do to make a difference in the health of your home. As I was going through the article, I gave myself a test to see if we’re actually doing these things in our home…i’m proud to say that we do 4 out of the 5 below…but it seems I need to get better at remembering to dust! Time to pull out my Basic H2 Organic Super Cleaning Wipes and get to work!

Step 1 – Open some windows. Indoor air is typically far more polluted than outdoor air. In fact, the indoor air in the typical American home contains over 500 chemicals, according to a study published in April 2009. Opening windows for even a few minutes a day can vastly improve your indoor air quality. Open one right now so that during the ten minutes you are doing your home makeover, you’ll be letting contaminated air out and fresh air in.

Step 2 – Dust electronics. One type of toxic chemical commonly found in household dust is flame retardants. According to “Tech Secrets: 21 Things ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know,” Though electronics manufacturers have made great strides in reducing their use of harmful chemicals in recent years, tech gear still may contain brominated flame retardants– chemicals used to reduce the risk of fire that studies have linked to lower IQs in children and reduced fertility rates. “BFRs used in the manufacture of circuit boards can be converted to highly toxic brominated dioxins and furans if the products are burned at the end of their life,” says Arlene Blum, executive director of the Green Science Policy Institute and a visiting professor of chemistry at UC Berkeley. But even daily use can be dangerous, says Blum. “When used in plastic casings, BFRs can also migrate out of the plastic into the dust in the room and then enter the body via the hand-to-mouth contact.”

The Fix: While major manufacturers such as Apple, Dell, and HP have moved away from BFRs in recent years, certain products built before 2009–especially devices that generate a lot of heat, like laptops and laser printers–may still contain BFRs, says Michael Kirschner, associate director of the Green Science Policy Institute. “Do some research,” says Kirschner. “Almost all vendors now have an environmental section on their Websites that tells you about the materials they use.” For immediate health protection, keep electronic equipment dustfree by damp dusting it frequently.

Step 3 – Make a shoe drop-spot. Consider every place you walk when you leave your house and then think of what you could be tracking back inside – pesticides from a freshly sprayed lawn, lead dust from contaminated soil, gasoline from stopping to fuel your car, feces from your neighbor’s dog, and much more. One of the most recent studies published in the journal of Environmental Science & Technology, found that toxic coal tar, a known carcinogen used in driveway sealants (among other places), is tracked into homes from driveways and parking lots. Keep contaminants out by leaving dirt at the door. Find a large basket or decorative box to keep shoes in by your home’s entryways. Hopefully you have something on hand, but, if not, you can use a laundry basket until you find a more attractive replacement.

Step 4 – Clean out your cleaning cabinet. Conventional cleaning products can contain many dangerous chemicals, which are usually not listed on the labels. So, whether you keep your cleaners in a closet or under the sink, grab a box and get rid of any with warning labels (danger, warning, or caution). Toss the box in the trunk of your car and drop it off at your local Household Hazardous Waste site the next time you’re in the area. Don’t know where your local drop-off is? Enter your zip code at Earth911.com to find out. Keep your home clean and healthy by purchasing non-toxic cleaners or making your own using these recipes for safer cleaners.

Antioxidants: Supercharged protection

Shaklee’s FlavoMax™

Many people struggle to meet the daily recommended value of five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables per day. However, without these vital amounts of fruits and veggies, the body does not receive the necessary phytonutrients provided by these essential foods that help fight free radicals.

Shaklee’s FlavoMax™ provides over 300mg of flavonoids—a 280mg increase from the average daily intake of 20mg. The high-powered anti-oxidant supplement guarantees the delivery of six key classes of flavonoids: proanthocyanidins, anthocyanidins, flavan-3-ols, flavones, flavonols, and flavanones. To ensure potency, Shaklee uses standardized extracts of each of the six classes of flavonoids.

FlavoMax:
  • Delivers powerful free-radical fighters to the blood and blood-rich tissues, such as the liver and intestines
  • Provides protection against cellular damage and promotes overall cell health
  • Supports cardiovascular and circulatory health
  • Promotes overall wellness
  • Formulated with standardized extracts that are nature-based
  • Provides flavonoids often found in plant parts not typically consumed: seeds, peels, flowers, and bark.

What are Flavonoids?
Flavonoids are compounds found in fruits, vegetables, and other plants with many beneficial biochemical and anti-oxidizing effects. These beneficial elements help to protect plants against microbe and insect attacks, while at the same time providing the aesthetically pleasing vibrant colors of many fruits and flowers. Flavonoids biologically trigger the production of enzymes that fight disease and have been found to reduce the risk of certain cancers, heart disease, and age-related degenerative diseases. Some research indicates that flavonoids can assist in the prevention of tooth decay and reduce certain illnesses, such as the flu. Different forms of flavonoids exist, each with its own characteristics and health-benefitting qualities:

Quercetin
This flavonoid (more specifically, flavonol) is the most active of the flavonoids. Many medicinal plants, such as aloe, owe their high activity levels to the rich quercetin content. The compound is also known for its anti-inflammatory qualities because of the direct inhibition of the inflammation process. This occurs because quercetin inhibits the production and release of histamine and other allergic and inflammatory mediators. Quercetin is also known for its potent anti-oxidant and vitamin C sparing activity. Many studies have led researchers to believe that the compound also contains anti-cancer properties. Quercetin is commonly found in supplements containing Hawthorne, an herbal supplement used for its healing effects on acute symptoms of heart failure. The medicinal qualities of quercetin have been demonstrated in one study where people who ate Quercetin-rich foods at least four times per week were 51% less likely to have lung cancer than those who ate none.

Epicatechin
Another member of the flavonoid family is epicatechin, a compound known to improve blood flow, thus providing positive cocoa—the main ingredient in dark chocolate. Cocoa has two times thenumber of anti-oxidant qualities as red wine, and three times the amount of anti-oxidant qualities of green tea.

A study lead by Dr. Mary Engler,PhD, RN and a team of medical experts at the University of California, San Francisco, divided 21 healthy adults into two separate groups. One group received a Dove dark chocolate bar every day for two weeks. The other group also received chocolate bars; however, this group’s chocolate had the flavonoids removed. After the two weeks, the first group performed better in tests to see how well their blood vessels dilated and relaxed. This is an indicator of healthy blood vessel function. Blood tests indicated that those who had eaten the flavonoid rich chocolate bars had high levels of epicatechin running through their arteries. In a news release, Engler commented: "This is the longest clinical trial to date to show improvement in blood vessel function from consuming flavonoid-rich dark chocolate daily over an extended period of time. It is likely that the elevated blood levels of epicatechin triggered the release of Active substances that... Increase blood flow in the artery. Better blood flow is good for your heart."

Oligomeric proanthocyanidins
Although this flavonoid has a daunting name, it provides many benefits. It has been found to demonstrate a vast variety of pharmacological activities, including increasing intracellular vitamin C levels, decreasing capillary permeability and fragility, and inhibiting the destruction of collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and is a coveted compound in those seeking supple, youthful skin.

Natural Sources of Flavonoids
• All varieties of citrus fruits
• Blueberries
• Cranberries
• Blackberries
• Red beans
• Red and yellow vegetables
• Nuts
• Ginkgo biloba
• Onions
• Parsley
• Legumes
• Tea (white and green)
• Red wine
• Dark chocolate (coca content 70% or greater)

Shoo the Flu

The Center of Disease Control’s (CDC) primary function is to compile statistics about deaths caused by hundreds of different disease entities. Last year’s report shows, the total number of reported deaths (from all causes) was 2,426,264 people. They list flu as the number 8 cause of death, stating that 56,326 of these 2,426,264 deaths (or 2.32%) were cause by the flu. Sounds scary, doesn’t it?

However, on page 34 of this report, we are able to discover the real truth; the problem stems from the fact that the CDC lumps both flu and pneumonia deaths together. It turns out that only 849 of the reported 56 thousand deaths, or only 1.5% of them, are actually attributed to the flu. The remaining 98.5% of them died of pneumonia.

Virtually all of us carry the bacteria that “cause” pneumonia within our throats at all times. It’s an unsettling truth…we are all germ condominiums. And yet, very few of us ever develop pneumonia. Why is that? The reason is that our immune system is designed to protect us from bacteria.

Immune Cells are very high maintenance. They must operate at very high metabolic rates, enabling them to respond quickly to each attack. And like every other high-activity cell, they must reproduce much more frequently and accurately to replace those damaged and exhausted warriors. To fulfill this recurrent demand, we must have optimum levels of nutrients in our blood AT ALL TIMES.

Things that we eat, drink and inhale can depress our immune system. It is well know by all of us that alcohol, second-hand smoking and sugar can depress our immune cell activity. This is why supplementation provides such dramatic support in strengthening our immune system.

High Cholesterol levels can also suppress immune function. Research has shown that there is an inverse relationship between cholesterol levels and macrophage (White blood cells or WBCs)—the higher your cholesterol levels climb, the lower your macrophage activity. Besides our skin and mucus membranes, WBCs are our first line of defense against attacks from viruses and bacteria.

Stress is a major contributor. Stress-induced decline in health is directly associated with stressed production of stress related hormones. Studies investigating the blood levels of couples experiencing marital conflict revealed a direct relationship between high cortisol levels and dramatic decreases in immune function.

Cortisol can also damage other organ systems in the body, leading to not only depressed immune function, but also memory loss, heart disease, high blood pressure, elevated blood glucose levels, osteoporosis, and other degenerative diseases. Although short-term cortisol release is an important part of our fight-or-fight mechanism, long term exposure leads to decline in health and eventual disease.

The Nutrition solution
The alternative approach to preventing the flu involves several overlapping processes; rebuild your immune system, restore your digestive tract, removing toxic substances from your environment.

We recommend you to take:
  • Good multivitamin (Vita Lea) because it has all the essential nutrients your body needs.
  • Energizing soy protein because it is an essential building block for the repair and growth of healthy cells
  • Nutriferon because it’s a blend of natural plant extracts and induce natural production of interferon

Feature Weight Loss Program

Marina, 52 pounds healthier
"When I am standing in front of the classroom, I feel surer of myself and less jiggly. I am really enjoying the new me."—Marina says

I never had weight issues until I was in my 40s. At that time, my life became extremely busy; I was working full time and I was also a full-time college student. I felt like I did not have time to exercise or to plan meals, so I ate a lot of fast food. I did try a lot of diets, but they never worked for me. I would lose the weight—then regain it. Often, I regained even more than I had lost on the diet!

My heaviest weight was 186 pounds—and I was not happy. My husband and I were planning to renew our wedding vows at our 25th anniversary in a beautiful beach ceremony in Cabo San Lucas. I wanted to look and feel better for that ceremony, so I started the Cinch® Inch Loss Plan. I lost 30 pounds before the ceremony and had a wonderful time.

But I didn’t stop there. Cinch was working for me, so I just stayed on the program. I love the Peanut Butter Crunch Snack Bars, and I really enjoy making a piña colada shake with the vanilla shake mix, some fresh pineapple, and coconut extract. I am now 134 pounds, more than 50 pounds lighter. It has been a wonderful change in lifestyle. I watch portions, and if I eat more than I should on one day, I just watch my portions better the next day.
I learned to treat myself and my health with respect, and my body has given me great rewards in return. I have so much more confidence in everything I do. When I am standing in front of the classroom, I feel surer of myself and less jiggly. I am really enjoying the new me.

Happy Chinese New Year

Our Feng Shui expert, Ms. Gina Gunsolley enlightens us about The Chinese New Year, the forthcoming Year of the Rabbit. Do you want to know so many of us are sure to celebrate the Chinese New Year?

During the Chinese New Year, the Chinese give red envelopes filled with money symbolizing Good Fortune and Wealth. The Money Frogs or 3-legged toads are also used to attract wealth. They are considered auspicious symbols of good fortune.

Valentines Day is for lovers. Feng Shui suggests that if you are looking for a new love make room in your bedroom, and bathroom for a new love to appear. Clear a shelf in the bathroom, make space in your closet and clean out a draw in your dresser.

A person born in the year of the Rabbit possesses one of the most fortunate of the twelve animal signs. The Rabbit, or Hare as he is referred to in Chinese mythology, is the emblem of longevity and is said to derive his essence from the Moon.

When a Westerner gazes at the Moon, he may joke that it is a ball of cheese or tell a child the story of the Man in the Moon. When a Chinese looks at the Moon, he sees the Moon Hare standing near a rock under a Cassia tree and holding the Elixir of Immortality in his hands.

During the Chinese mid-Autumn festival when the Moon is supposed to be at its loveliest, Chinese children still carry lighted paper lanterns made in the image of a Rabbit and climb the hills to observe the Moon and admire the Moon Hare. The Rabbit symbolizes graciousness, good manners, sound counsel kindness and sensitivity to beauty. His soft speech and graceful and nimble ways embody all the desirable traits of a successful diplomat or seasoned politician.

Likewise, a person born under this sign will lead a tranquil life, enjoying peace, quiet and a congenial environment. He is reserved and artistic and possesses good judgment. His thoroughness will also make him a good scholar. He will shine in the fields of law, politics and government. But he is also inclined to be moody; at such times he appears detached from his environment or indifferent to people. The Rabbit is extremely lucky in business and monetary transactions. Astute at striking bargains, he can always pop up with a suitable proposal or alternative to benefit himself. His sharp business acumen, coupled with his knack for negotiation, will ensure him a fast rise in any career. Although the Rabbit may assume an outer air of indifference to the opinions of others, he actually withers under criticism. His "rather switch than fight" technique can be deceiving and he can be diabolically cunning when he puts his mind to it. So while the Rabbit person is tender and obliging to his loved ones, he can be superficial and even ruthless in his dealings with outsiders. Suave and self-indulgent, he enjoys his creature comforts and likes to put his own wishes first. It irks him terribly to be inconvenienced for he is a considerate, modest and thoughtful person and he would like others to be the same.

February is the Heart Month

While concerns about heart-health have become more prevalent, Americas are becoming more heart-healthy. Heart disease and stroke continue to be the number one and number three causes of death in the United States. In addition the prevalence of diabetes and obesity—both of which are severely high risk factors for heart complications—is speedily increasing.

There are more than 180 million Americans with one or more forms of cardiovascular disease, including 73 million Americans with high blood pressure. The good news in this troubling facts is that the majority of risk factors in cardiovascular complications are preventable—with family history and genetics being the only exemption. Risk factors which can be prevented include:

Obesity
Hypertension
Elevated blood cholesterol and tryglicerides
Type 2 diabetes
Smoking
Sedentary lifestyle

  1. Lose weight. One of the greatest risk factors in cardiovascular complications is obesity. Loosing weight is the first priority in reducing the risk of heart disease. Obesity has become a national epidemic, with 2 out of 3 Americans overweight or obese. Lowering weight even a small amount can help to improve blood cholesterol and blood pressure, and lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

  2. Eat a balanced diet. Include foods from different food groups such as fruits, vegetables, high fiber whole grain.

  3. Think fishy! Consuming oily fish rich in Omega-3 fatty acids at least twice a week can help to lower the cholesterol levels, as well on providing many other added health benefits.

  4. Take your vitamins. Heart healthy vitamins and supplements including B vitamins, folic acid, B6, B12, antioxidants such as Vitamin E, CoQ10, can all help strengthen your heart muscles. Also include supplements such as Shaklee’s garlic complex, which can help combat heart disease risk factors by regulating blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

  5. Exercise! Regular physical activity at least 30 minutes a day, is essential in managing and maintaining weight, as well as strengthening your heart.

  6. Kick poor habits. Reducing poor nutrition habits, such as sugary soft drinks, sweets and processed salty snack foods, can help reduce weight and lower cholesterol levels as well as avoiding type 2 diabetes. Give up smoking which is a serious risk factor in heart disease.

Garlic and The Healthy Heart
Garlic can sometimes cause bad breath, but as a herbal supplement, it can have health benefits. For centuries many civilizations have garlic not only for culinary uses, but also for its amazing health benefits. The herb, which is in the same family as the onion, has a reputation for preventing everything from the common cold and flue to the plague. Garlic is one of the most popular herbal supplements. Today over 3,000 publications have recognized the health benefits of garlic, which include:

  • A recognizable reduction in risk factors for cardiovascular disease and cancer.
  • Stimulation of immune system function
  • Restoration of physical strength

Research has shown that garlic can lower cholesterol levels on an average of 16-30% A study conducted in Munich, Germany, demonstrated that patients with high cholesterol levels who were put on a low-fat diet saw a decrease in cholesterol levels of 10% and then levels stabilized. When garlic was added, their cholesterol levels dropped another 10% The herb is so effective that in Germany is a licensed medicine for treating atherosclerosis (the hardening or blocking of arteries)

Another study which involved 360 participants who took 300 mgs of dried garlic for 16 weeks, showed an average decrease in cholesterol levels of 10%. Several other clinical experts have revealed that the use of garlic as a herbal supplement can have cholesterol-lowering effects.

COQHEART®
Everyone understands the importance of a healthy heart, but maintaining one can prove difficult. Cardiovascular health can be compromised by diet, genetics, a sedentary lifestyle, smoking, and an array of other factors. Moreover, our bodies are often deficient in substances critical to healthy heart function. One example is coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which helps produce energy in each cell, particularly those in the heart and other major organs. Since it has powerful antioxidant properties, it helps prevent LDL cholesterol oxidation.

CoQHeart combines two natural substances with potent antioxidant properties— CoQ10 and resveratrol — in a single, highly bioavailable softgel capsule using a technology exclusive to Shaklee.

  • Combines the power of CoQ10 with resveratrol to promote heart health
  • Prevents the oxidation of LDL cholesterol
  • Provides energy at the cellular level
  • Helps keep blood flowing freely through the arteries
  • Highly bioavailable formulation
  • Cholesterol Reduction Complex
  • Lowers cholesterol naturally
  • No artificial flavors sweeteners, colors, or preservatives added
  • Delivers 2,000 mg of plant sterols and stanols per day, which is 100% of the National
  • Institutes of Health’s (NIH) recommendation for plant sterols and stanols
  • Plant sterols and stanols have been clinically proven in over 80 clinical studies

Weight Loss Success Story of The Month

Nancy 53 pounds healthier

“Cinch is very easy! The weekly measuring keeps me motivated, and I am still going strong! On my journey to attain my pre-cancer weight, I have found myself again." Nancy says.

In June 2006, Nancy was diagnosed with cancer—stage four malignant metastatic melanoma. Treatments for the cancer were successful but left her with some extra pounds. As grateful as she was to be healthy again, Nancy wanted to get her old shape back, too.

“Over the next three years,” Nancy says, “I tried several popular diets. Nothing worked for me; I even gained weight on one plan. My thyroid was checked in case the cancer treatment had changed its function, but it was normal. I thought I would just have to learn to accept being overweight.”

Nancy was familiar with Shaklee because her father has been taking Shaklee vitamins for 40 years. And she recalls that “learning about the Cinch® Inch Loss Plan seemed like an answer to my prayers! I needed to find ‘me’ again.”

At 200 pounds, Nancy started the Cinch program. She followed the plan diligently, tweaking it a bit to make it fit her schedule: a shake for breakfast, half of a Meal-in-a-Bar for lunch, and a sensible dinner—plus a 3-in-1 Boost™ tablet with each meal and Cinch® Energy Tea Mix each afternoon. Now she is 53 pounds lighter.

“I went from size 16 to size 10 and lost 29½ total inches,” she says.

“Cinch is very easy! The weekly measuring keeps me motivated, and I am still going strong! On my journey to attain my pre-cancer weight, I have found myself again. Thank you, Cinch, and thank you to the Shaklee Distributor who took time to come talk to me. I FEEL GREAT!”

What To Do When Someone Says Yes!

We all know that this is one of the hottest times of the year for introducing new people to Shaklee's amazing health products and finding new partners for your business. You've been talking, presenting, asking questions, and getting to know what people's New Year's resolutions are, and now your efforts have come to fruition. Someone wants to join you and learn how to make their dreams come true! What do you do next?

According to Key Coordinator Zal Fink and Executive Coordinator Lou Ann Salmon, when somebody says, "yes," your goal is to get them started as quickly as possible, with a simple, clearly outlined process that can help them get to Director within their first 3 months.
Here's a brief outline of what Lou Ann and Zal's organization has new Distributors doing within the first few days after they've sponsored:
  • Help a new Distributor get into action as quickly as possible. A person in action has less of a chance of giving into negativity or second guessing themselves. Help them to stay focused, positive and in touch with their dream.
  • Teach the fundamentals - first steps to building a business - Dream, Commit, List, Invite, Share, Sponsor and Teach.
  • Help them get organized. Provide simple straightforward tools that offer a simple overview about how to get paid and earn rewards. Example: the Drive the Dream chart.
  • Help them to get familiar with the two web sites that serve their business - MyShaklee.com and PWS.
  • Explain the concept of Shakleeizing your home and your life. Help them to make a list of products they use now and how they can convert them to Shaklee products. This is critical not only for the new Distributor's credibility but also for development of personal conviction and their own product story. Use at least 20 products within your first 30 days. Reward and recognize people when they do this!
  • Plug into team training so that they can stay connected with you and the rest of their team at least weekly, or even twice a week!
  • According to Zal and Lou Ann, the critical aspect is not so much the what of your process, but it's the fact that you have one. That alone can be enough to give a new Distributor the confidence they need to go forth and do what it takes to be successful!
