"I have often said that our success is what we think to make it. We must continue to set new goals for ourselves as we stand on the principles that have made our present success possible – the Golden Rule and cooperation with Nature.

What does it mean to be associated with a 50+ year old company founded on a philosophy of helping others and adhering to "The Golden Rule"? Is that philosophy still alive and well, and if so, is it relevant for today's environment of competitive, aggressive marketing and the need to make money - as much as possible, as fast as possible?
When Dr. Shaklee founded the company, he emphasized "The Golden Rule" as part of the training which he personally delivered to the Shaklee Field, and it boils down to this: Treat other people the way you would want to be treated in the same situation. It's a guideline you can apply to just about every situation you'll be faced with as you develop your Shaklee business, and as you work with the leaders who form your organization (some of whom will be your partners for a lifetime!). How people perceive you, how you respond in adversity, and how your intentions manifest themselves in your behavior can make a very big difference in your success, for a very long time.
Dr. Shaklee taught that if you apply the Golden Rule to your business relationships, and if your focus remains firmly on enhancing the health, happiness and financial well-being of others, then the rewards you hope to have for yourself will come. And then some. It's a simple prescription for success that makes the connection between outstanding service, honesty, authenticity and wealth, ethically created. These principles have been passed on through four generations of Shaklee leadership, and that's why Shaklee is legendary in our industry for the honesty and integrity of its Field leaders.
Business integrity is still relevant for today's marketplace. And people do care care more than ever about honesty and ethics when they invest their time or choose how they spend money. American consumers are increasingly concerned with the ethical (or unethical) business practices of companies with whom they transact. And you can look forward to even more of this kind of scrutiny in the future. Young adult consumers are even more concerned than previous generations have been about whether or not a company "walks their talk" of corporate responsibility and ethics.
That's great news for you and for Shaklee, since doing well by doing good has always been, and will always be the secret to our success - and yours. Are you doing well AND doing good? Has your Shaklee income enabled you to make a significant contribution to an organization or community, or given you the opportunity to help someone in a way you wouldn't have been able to, without your Shaklee business?
